Grand Canyon West Rim tours from Las Vegas (Skywalk & Hoover Dam)
What you see at the West Rim
The West Rim is built for big views with little walking. Eagle Point is where the Skywalk juts out over the canyon; Guano Point has a near-360° outlook over a bend in the Colorado River. Because it is lower and drier than the South Rim, the canyon here looks broad and rugged rather than deep and layered.
Is the Skywalk worth it?
The Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped glass bridge that hangs about 70 feet out over the rim, with around 4,000 feet of air below your feet. It costs extra on top of your tour and you can’t take your own phone or camera onto the bridge (photos are sold separately). It’s a thrill if you like that sort of thing — read our honest take on the Grand Canyon Skywalk.

West Rim vs South Rim
The West Rim is closer and easier; the South Rim is the deeper, more famous national-park canyon but a much longer day. Full breakdown on West Rim vs South Rim.
